Easy Barbie Dress Free Knitting Pattern

This easy to knit Barbie/teenage fashion doll dress knitting pattern is featured in the book: 25 Easy Teenage Dolls Dresses Knitting Patterns.

Here is your free knitting pattern:

Materials needed:

• Pair each of 3.5mm and 4mm knitting needles
• Small amount of dk yarn – This particular dress was made with the very gorgeous baby yarn James C Brett Twinkle Prints. I love using self striping yarns especially for dolls clothes. You can change colours without any extra sewing in and there won’t be an excess of knots as yarns are joined in. I think this is quite important when knitting small projects such as Barbie dolls clothes.
• Scissors and needle for sewing up.

Instructions

With 4mm knitting needles, cast on 21 stitches.

Work the following 2 stitch pattern rows:

1. P1, *k4, p1; repeat from * to the end of the row.
2. P

Repeat these 2 rows twice more (total 6 rows worked).

Now work st-st until the piece measures a total of 7 cm from cast on edge.

Change to 3.5mm needles.

Knit until the piece measures a total of 11 cm from the cast on edge.

Cast off.

Sew up the back seam.

Weave in all loose ends.
