How To Knit Cute Mini Baby Bootie Appliqués

The cute mini baby booties are possibly the fastest knitting project in the whole wide world!

Each mini bootie takes around five minutes to knit.  They are so tiny and cute! 

They are ideal for using up little bits of leftover double knitting yarn and you can make them in any colour.

The sweet little hand knit baby bootie appliqués can then be used to decorate cards and gift tags for use on occasions such as the birth of a new baby or for baby showers.

You could also stick them on journals, photo albums and storage boxes.

You need 4mm knitting needles and any dk thickness yarn to make these mini booties.

The booties in the photo were made with Rico Baby Classic and Rico Baby Classic Print (this is a cute multi coloured baby yarn).

Knitting Pattern For Mini Baby Booties Appliqués

With 4mm needles and double knitting/8 ply yarn, cast on 3 stitches.

Knit (in garter stitch) 4 rows.

At the beginning of the next row, cast on 3 stitches and then work, using only knit stitch, as follows:

Knit 1 row.

Knit 4, Knit 2 together (5 stitches remain on knitting needle).

Knit 2 rows.

Knit 2 together, knit 3 (4 stitches remain on knitting needle).

Cast off in knit and sew in the loose ends.
