To celebrate the release of my new teenage fashion dolls clothes easy knitting pattern collection here is a cute little dress for you to knit.

This is a very easy knitting pattern for a dress to fit teenage fashion dolls such as Sindy and Barbie.

As with all of the other Barbie dresses in my knitting pattern collection, all you need is a small amount of DK yarn. This is an ideal leftover yarn knitting project and is very simple and fast.

Easy Barbie Dress Free Knitting Pattern

Materials Required for The Barbie Dress Knitting Pattern

• Dk yarn – the yarn used for the dress shown is Wendy Giggles, a self striping yarn. You can use this delicious yarn or any DK yarn of your choice. By the way, DK is 8 ply for those of you outside the UK.
• One pair of 4mm (US 6) needles

Instructions

On 4mm needles, cast on 36 stitches.

K 2 rows.

Starting with a k row, stocking stitch until piece measures 5cm from cast on edge, ending after the completion of a purl row.

Next row: *k4, k2tog; repeat from * to the end of the row (30).

Next row: P.

Next row: *k3, k2tog; repeat from * to the end of the row (24).

Next row: P.

Next row: *k1, k2tog; repeat from * to the end of the row (16).

Next row: P

K 6 rows.

Next row: *k3, kfb; repeat from * to the end of the row (20).

K 9 rows.

Work 2 rows of 1 x 1 rib

Cast off in 1 x 1 rib.

Sew up the back seam and sew in loose ends.
